New from ESPE, Ketac-Molar is reported to be a fast-setting, esthetic glass-ionomer filling material, ideal for restoring primary teeth. Single-dose aplicaps are reportedly easy to use and the material is condensable, similar to amalgam. Ketac-Molar is radiopaque and is said to be a true glass ionomer, so that it chemically bonds to the tooth and releases fluoride. Ketac-Molar introductory pack contains 50 Aplicaps of four assorted shades (A1, A3, A4 and Dark Yellow Opaque), capsule activator and applier. Ketac-Molar is available through authorized dealers.
