PQ1, the strongest single-syringe bonding system

April 1, 1999
PQ1 is a single-syringe, light-cure bonding agent. It is 40-percent filled, fluoride-releasing, and radiopaque. PQ1 is applied in the same manner as conventional enamel-bonding resin for wetting composite when required between incremental layers or when sculpting and contouring. Unlike other systems, PQ1 utilizes a unique, patented chemistry. It contains a tissue-kind primer and bond resin using ethyl alcohol as the solvent carrier that is gentler on soft tissue than acetone.
