Steri-Oss introduces a set of hand instruments designed to aid in the placement of Replace tapered root-form implants. The new Replace Tapered Osteotomes are intended for use in soft maxillary bone. Unlike surgical drills, which remove bone, osteotomes are pressed into the bone and compress it laterally, conserving and compacting bone at the implant-placement site.

Fabricated from titanium alloy, Replace Tapered Osteotomes are lightweight, yet offer increased durability and longevity. They also feature an ergonomically designed, sculptured handle that makes the instruments easier to grasp. Each set of osteotomes includes instruments of six different diameters.
