I have it—you want it! EyeCam

June 30, 2022
Dr. Howard Glazer reviews a promising new product or material to hit the dental industry. In this installment, learn more about the EyeCam from Shofu Dental.

EyeCam is a new intraoral camera that is the perfect answer to capturing images of carious, chipped, cracked, or otherwise damaged teeth or restorations. Photo capture is easy, with one-button operation that is basically “plug and play.” Simply connect the camera to your computer via USB, download the appropriate driver software from Shofu’s website, and begin taking pictures. It is that simple!

More "I have it—you want it!":

The camera is lightweight, ergonomically designed, and balanced. It includes a one-year warranty and a free two-year protection plan on every camera, which features a reduction on replacement costs if the camera becomes damaged. EyeCam has a flat head with a 90% lens angulation and a fixed-focus lens. Furthermore, EyeCam has a bright LED illumination source, all of which affords sharp, clear photos that are saved on your computer’s imaging software. As for cost, the camera has a suggested retail price of $279.95, which makes it affordable to have one in each operatory. Pictures can be the key to explaining treatment to a patient or their insurance carrier, which makes the EyeCam a must-have product for every practice.
