Dr. Pam's Practice Picks: April 2022

April 13, 2022
Dental Economics Chief Editor Dr. Pamela Maragliano-Muniz shares her current must-have products and wish list items.
I love a good before and after. It’s always inspiring to see a patient’s transformation, and as a dentist, it’s rewarding to successfully restore a
patient’s smile. We rely on great products to give us predictable, reliable, and exceptional results for our patients, so here are a few that truly show a picture is worth a thousand words.

G-CEM ONE from GC America

This is a one-and-done self-adhesive cementation system. You can use it to deliver all types of indirect restorations, and cleanup is a cinch! You can use the bond-enhancing primer for preps that don’t offer a lot of retention. This is a great option if you want to reduce inventory, but still offer exceptional bond strengths for all your restorations.

More "Dr. Pam's Practice Picks":

Sof-Lex Discs from 3M

These discs are great for contouring and polishing anterior composite and provisional restorations. They allow me to create beautiful, lifelike embrasures and line angles. I also love these for contouring my class II posterior composite restorations. I don’t like it when my contacts look overcontoured or when my marginal ridges look square; one of these orange discs works every time!

Omnichroma Flow from Tokuyama Dental

If you are into injectable composite systems, this is one to check out! Omnichroma Flow offers the same shade-matching ability as
Omnichroma, but in injectable form. This is great for all types of restorations, on all shades of teeth. It polishes beautifully and lasts. In areas that need some opacity or to block out discolored tooth structure, give Omnichroma Blocker Flow a try.Airflow Master from EMS Dental

Oral biofilm has been implicated in the exacerbation of many systemic illnesses, including heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and diabetes. Guided biofilm therapy allows us to identify and remove biofilm efficiently and ergonomically, while providing patients with an exceptional experience.

Opalescence Go Trays from Ultradent

Tooth whitening is a common recommendation from dental professionals. Many patients invest in bleaching trays, which are easily lost, chewed by dogs, or ill-fitting after subsequent dental work. Opalescence Go are disposable, take-home trays that provide patients with great results.
