Dr. Doherty`s advice on stress-free investing encompasses, in a very short space, the essentials of basic long-term investing. We all can become wealthy with regular investing, starting with our first working years. I totally agree with Dr. Doherty that index investing works best for most people. Its advantages are very low costs, minimal dividends, and capital gains.
I also would strongly suggest creating a pension plan as soon as possible and doing whatever is necessary to maximize contributions. Those first dollars are critical.
