Gendex Dental X-Ray, a division of DENTSPLY International, announces a new, patented, digital X-ray imaging product called the DenOptix™ Digital Imaging System. The DenOptix™ System uses storage-phosphor imaging technology to create digital X-ray images. The system consists of three components: a laser scanner, imaging software and reusable imaging plates.

The system provides many benefits to both dentists and patients. Besides reducing the radiation exposure, the system also eliminates the environmental and disposal problems associated with film-based imaging.

The DenOptix™ System comes in three configurations: intraoral only, panoramic only and a combo system for both panoramic and intraoral imaging. It will be available next month. For details, call Gendex Dental X-Ray at (847) 640-5323.
