DENTSPLY Maillefer N.A. introduces Glyde File Prep, a new root-canal therapy gel used to facilitate the cleaning and shaping of the canal. Used as a lubricant and chelating agent during canal cleaning and shaping, Glyde File Prep lifts debris coronally while it cleans and lubricates.
Glyde File Prep offers two distinct advantages over other root-canal lubricants. First, disposable syringe tips eliminate the possibility of cross-contamination and allow for clean, single-dose dispensing. Glyde File Prep also has a gel-like consistency that clings better to files.
Glyde File Prep works by effervescing when it reacts with sodium hypochlorite. The resulting bubbling effect lifts dentinal mud and necrotic tissue for easy removal.
