Anticipating the needs of dentists, SmartPractice® responds to the growing concern about latex allergy by offering customers a free Latex Allergy Alert Counter Card. The card, designed to be displayed on the reception desk, asks patients, "Do you suffer from latex allergy?" It prompts them to inform the staff of a known latex allergy so precautions can be taken to minimize exposure during their visit. The card also urges patients unaware of latex allergies to think about possible sensitization with questions about past contact with latex products or reactions that could identify allergic symptoms.
The back of the card is printed with a list of latex-free products available from SmartPractice for patients and staff. Also included are instructions on how to fold the card to create a self-standing "tent" configuration for prominent placement in the reception area of the office.
