Alan Mead, DDS, is a writer and podcaster. He has lectured extensively on various topics, including social media for dentists, medical marijuana, and addiction. He writes a blog——for patients at He has also written several articles for professional journals, and he maintains two other blogs—one for his office website and one for dentists. In 2014, he started the DentalHacks Podcast, a weekly internet radio show for dentists. Dr. Mead is a 1997 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and currently practices in Saginaw, Michigan.
