A revolutionary new system for shade selection is changing a 40-year-old standard this month. Vita has introduced the "Vitapan 3D Master Shade System which uses three-dimensional L*a*b* Color Sphere to determine tooth shades based on value, chroma and hue.

A revolutionary new system for shade selection is changing a 40-year-old standard this month. Vita has introduced the "Vitapan 3D Master Shade System which uses three-dimensional L*a*b* Color Sphere to determine tooth shades based on value, chroma and hue.

The system addresses critical elements of tooth-shade matching that have previously been unexplored by other shade systems, such as a systematic arrangement of shades to cover the entire natural tooth-color space and a rational, alphanumeric method for color specification.

An interactive CD-ROM and a video are available to help train the user on the concept of the Vitapan 3D Master Guide. An interactive tour also is available at Vident`s web site at www.vident.com.
