The off-white color of Artstone is ideal for performing intrinsic and external characterization and staining of the restorations. There is no shade distortion as can be experienced with colored die stones. Artstone provides the best background shade for recognizing the true color of the restoration. The material flows easily under vibration and stacks without slumping. It produces a strong, smooth surface, eliminating the need for die-hardeners. The initial setting time is 10-13 minutes.
