Where did you go to school?
I graduated in 2016 from NYU College of Dentistry.
Can you share some career highlights?
Founding my practice has allowed me to combine clinical innovation with meaningful outreach, shaping a career centered on advanced patient care and community engagement. Transforming a former ice cream shop into a state-of-the-art facility enabled me to tackle complex cases with cutting-edge technology. Beyond clinical work, I’ve offered pro bono dental care to underserved populations, served on my local library committee to enhance educational access, and volunteered to teach internet safety to children. These efforts reflect my belief that dentistry extends beyond the operatory, impacting lives in profound and meaningful ways.
What are some wins and challenges associated with building your own practice?
Building a practice from scratch in a competitive market has been both rewarding and challenging. One of the biggest wins has been creating a loyal patient community, built on trust, high-quality care, and a personalized experience. Utilizing advanced technologies, such as CBCT imaging and guided implant surgery, has been pivotal in differentiating my practice. Balancing clinical excellence with business management in a competitive market required adaptability and focus, shaping me into a more resilient clinician and leader.
What CE has made an impact on your patient care?
Continuing education in implantology and full-mouth reconstructions has had a profound impact on my ability to confidently handle complex cases. Partnering with manufacturers to test imaging technology before its public release has further enhanced my practice. These collaborations allowed me to deliver advanced care earlier while helping refine tools for the broader dental community. This synergy between CE, innovation, and collaboration ensures that my patients consistently receive the highest standard of care.
What are your current goals?
Expanding mentorship is a key focus. I maintain active connections with peers through group chats where we share clinical advice and hold weekly one-on-one calls to coach each other through career challenges.
Within my practice, I’m integrating advanced technologies like 3D printing to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
How do you maintain work-life balance?
Shabbos and the Jewish calendar provide a built-in framework for work-life balance, giving me dedicated time to disconnect, recharge, and focus on family and spiritual growth. Each week, I prioritize synagogue, study, and quality time with my wife and children. Scheduling time for family ensures it remains a priority amidst work demands. By committing to routines like family-focused weekends and date nights, I ensure personal relationships remain a priority. This balance also allows me to bring renewed energy and focus to my practice, benefiting both my patients and my team.
What advice would you give dental students/new grads?
Invest in quality CE from the start; it builds the foundation for clinical confidence and growth. Seek out mentors who inspire you and are willing to share their knowledge. Engage with peers and build a network you can rely on for advice and support throughout your career. Mistakes are part of the journey. Build a supportive community, stay committed to learning, and success will follow.
