The Acu-Tip Electro-Surgical Cauterizing Instrument is now available from Practicon.
The Acu-Tip Electro-Surgical Cauterizing Instrument is now available from Practicon. With disposable
tips, this cordless, lightweight cauterizer provides hemostasis, removes soft tissue and lesions, and trims gingival tissue before impressions. Acu-Tip is safer than large, expensive AC-powered cauterizing systems since the DC battery power eliminates the need to ground patients, and the risk of any electric shock to patients or staff. The self-contained unit quickly reaches 2200°F (1200°C), and performs for 35 to 40 continuous minutes on two AA batteries (included). Kit includes cauterizer and four disposable tips. urethane provisional material. Claiming it’s the first innovation in temporary materials in almost two decades, the proprietary chemistry provides greater strength and dimensional stability, and a tighter fitting provisional restoration. With Pulpdent Tuff-Temp Resin, temporaries grip the teeth and are tough and impact-resistant. Chipping, breaking, debonding, and recementations are minimized or eliminated. Tuff-Temp is dual cure and packaged in a 50 mL automix cartridge that fits into a standard one-to-one gun used for impression materials. It is available in six popular shades: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, and Bleach. For more information, visit www.pulpdent.com.
VITA’s new ShadeAssist shade communication software takes the guesswork out of case planning, and also streamlines the process by creating a detailed prescription and case planning document that can be printed or e-mailed. ShadeAssist can be used as a stand-alone software where VITA shades can be entered manually for case planning and patient data storage, or in conjunction with the VITA Easyshade Compact where all the data is imported automatically for a complete digital shade solution. Once all the important information, images, and notes have been added, the user has the ability to print three different versions of the prescription or case planning document — one for the lab, one for the patient, and one for his or her files. Individuals struggling with sensitivity no longer have to spend their time and money using more than one toothpaste to get comprehensive oral health protection for their teeth and gums. Crest Pro-Health Sensitive Shield contains the active ingredient Stannous Fluoride, which reduces sensitivity by blocking the painful triggers from stimulating nerves inside the tooth.
