DE readers! Santa comes in the form of Dr. Schuster this year

DR. BLAES: 'Tis the season of giving and sharing. This is a time for gratitude and giving thanks for the many blessings that we Americans share. With that in mind, I have a very special message for our readership. But first, let me introduce one of our esteemed columnists, Dr. Michael Schuster of the Schuster Center.

Dr. Schuster: Hi, Joe. Let me say happy holidays to you and to all of your readers. This is one of my favorite times of the year. Everyone seems to be lighter, brighter, and more hopeful. There's a bit of magic in the air.

DR. B: I know what you mean. You don't need to be a kid to feel it. It sure is good to reflect on the things that inspire and bring hope. But these are especially hard times for many, with the economy suffering and dental practices stressed to the max. It's just tough in this world right now! Which brings me to the reason we're having this introduction. Mike, would you like to tell readers what you're putting in their stockings this holiday?

DR. S: I do feel like Santa, Joe! In the spirit of giving, and during this troubled chapter in American history, the Schuster Center team is presenting the DE readership with a very special gift. From now until Jan. 30, any DE reader may obtain a complimentary Practice Health Examination (PHE) from the Schuster Center, the first business school for dentists. The PHE is a $2,750 value. It brings us great joy to present such a valuable gift to our readership at this time.

DR. B: That is an incredibly generous offer. Can you explain what the PHE consists of and how it benefits the dentist?

DR. S: The PHE is a four–step process, directed by one of our practice analysts:

1) Navigator Call is two, 45–minute phone calls that focus on goal setting for the dentist and his or her practice.

2) Model for Spending Review is one, 45–minute phone call that analyzes the dentist's P&L and compares it with the Schuster Model for Spending.

3) Chart Review is one, 45–minute phone call to look at the scheduled (and unscheduled) patient treatment in the practice.

4) Optional Site Visit is a trip to evaluate the practice and team. This is optional for the dentist (travel and time expenses would be covered by the practice if the dentist chooses).

This normally costs $2,750, but due to our special relationship, we are offering our PHE complimentary to our fellow readers. This offer expires on Jan. 30, 2010. You must contact the Schuster Center at (800) 288–9393 prior to this expiration date.

DR. BLAES: Well, Mike, I'm not quite sure what else to say except, “What's gotten into you?!”

Dr. SCHUSTER: (Laughing) I know, Joe. I don't always come across as the soft and fuzzy type, do I? But I can say this with all earnestness — as dentists we are so lucky to practice in the best country in the world. Even in this poor economy we have lives that are so much better than the majority of other countries. We are more privileged, healthier, and have greater opportunities than anywhere else in the world.

This free PHE is a way that the Schuster Center can give thanks and truly help our fellow dentists. It's just the right thing to do. And we are the people that can do it.

Happy holidays to one and to all!

Call (800) 288–9393 to obtain your free Schuster PHE. Offer expires Jan. 30, 2010.
