Product name: Weave

Product type: Customer communication software

Company: Weave Communications

Category: Patient Communications

Why it’s a winner: Weave is a complete business toolbox for dental practices. Our communication solutions help dental offices promote social distancing with curbside waiting rooms and electronic wellness forms. Dentists maintain personalized communication with patients by consolidating calls, texts, and emails. Text to Pay and Practice Analytics features make it easy to collect payments and optimize internal processes using advanced data analysis. Our hardware and software tools empower dentists to offer high-level customer service and maximize marketability.

How did Weave become an indispensable tool for so many dental practices and remain so year after year? We spoke with the Weave team to learn more.

DE: What do you think helps Weave stand out in the field?

Weave: Weave’s bread-and-butter is phone-based communication. A practice’s phone system is its lifeline, and its most powerful production generation and patient communication tool. Weave dramatically levels up a practice’s phones, connecting them to patient data so call handlers can have more effective conversations. It also layers in automation—such as text message appointment reminders, confirmation, and recall—to deliver time back to busy practices while helping them keep their schedules full.

DE: Tell us a bit about your R&D design process. What are the challenges of setting out to create something unique?

Weave: Weave’s team of product managers work very closely with customers throughout the research, design, and testing process. We take customer feedback incredibly seriously, be it through in-app feature requests, NPS survey responses, or research interviews. As far as creating something unique is concerned, Weave is relentlessly focused on simplicity and ease of use. The best software in the world, if nobody can figure out how to use it, is the worst software in the world. We try to build for the busy office manager, front desk worker, or dentist that doesn’t have the time to constantly learn new software. You can even see it in the user interface on our desktop app—it looks just like a smartphone!

DE: What’s next for Weave?

Weave: We are building something very, very exciting for practices with multiple offices, departments, or providers. Stay tuned!
