Need more information about DSMOs

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the article written by R. Kirk Huntsman in the October issue. I find that this type of journalism has no place in a publication of your status. Personal attacks and inaccurate analogies only distract from the intended purpose of the article. I feel that the editorial responsibility requires that articles presented for publication be fair and truthful. This article crosses that line.

DMSOs are and will continue to be a hot topic in dentistry. I would like to hear more about the legal ramifications of such organizations. I am more concerned about the chain of responsibility for the DMSO entity, the dentist, and patients in dealing with disputes. I would like to hear from system-integration specialists like Andersen Consulting as to their read for the need for an additional layer of management. I also would appreciate an article from a business school where I know these things are discussed and researched.

I have the kind of lukewarm intelligence that forces me to continually read publications like yours for those "pearls" that make my life easier. I thank you for that.
