Parkell, Inc. recently introduced the 30KHz Power-Tip Ultrasonic Insert. According to the manufacturer, the Power-Tip is the first slim insert designed for gross calculus removal at medium or high-power settings.

The insert features a stainless grip for durability and a silicone muffle to reduce (slightly) the noise generated during the scaling. The company now offers Burnett Power-Tip inserts in both 25KHz and 30KHz designs to fit any Parkell or Cavitron scaler.
