In the past few months, I have discussed various aspects of Web site design for your dental practice. One of the most important steps in the design and production of a Web site is to go out into cyberspace and see what others in dentistry have done. I have gathered together a number of Web sites that I feel are some of the better ones. These sites illustrate a range of features and design costs. As you view these sites, some will catch your eye. Make note of the designers of the sites you like the best. They may be the first designers you want to contact in your own Web site production.

Do not get angry if I have left your Web site off of this list. There isn't enough space to list all the good dental Web sites in cyberspace. The sites listed are merely a small representation of the work of some of the great designers that dentists use to help them hang their "shingle" out on the World Wide Web. In the interest of fairness, I will list them alphabetically:

Use these Web sites to gather ideas and information for the design of your own Web pages. Decide what elements you like and what elements you don't like. Then, take the ideas you like back to your own Web site designer.

Establishing a Web presence is one of the best ways you can market your practice. If you decide to do this, make sure whatever you produce is professionally created. A poor site is worse than not having any site at all. Keep in mind that once your site has been built and is up and running, the task is not done. You must continually update your site because people need reasons to return. I hope to see your site as I surf around the Internet in the future ... and please visit me at my Web site at www.dfdasmiles.com.
