Equidyne Systems, Inc. has developed a unique and patented needle-free, drug-injection system. The INJEX™ system is a painless, cost-competitive product for drug injection featuring a convenient, disposable medication container (ampule).

Equidyne`s product competes with the standard needle syringe, a worldwide market of $2 billion. INJEX™ eliminates the risks of contaminated needle-stick accidents and the potential cross-contamination with hepatitis and HIV. A needle syringe easily can puncture the skin after injection and during the controlled, disposal process.

The medication is contained in a tiny, disposable, plastic ampule that attaches to the end of the pen-sized injector. The trigger is activated, which releases a spring, propelling the drug through a small orifice (.006") in the ampule tip and into the skin through a pore. The ampule then is removed easily from the injector and discarded.
