A new periodontal-surgery kit, designed by periodontists Dr. William Becker and Dr. Clifford Ochsenbein, has been introduced by Brasseler USA.

The kit is designed to aid in surgical crown-lengthening procedures. Crown-lengthening often is necessary to provide a restoring dentist with a sufficient amount of tooth structure to ensure retention of single crowns and fixed-partial dentures. The kit consists of nine FG surgical and operative carbides. Two of the special end-cutting carbides feature laser-etched depth marks to measure bone removal during initial osseous surgery.
