Systemp.link Temporary Cement by Ivoclar Vivadent- For years I have been telling anyone who would listen about a great temporary cement called Provilink from Ivoclar Vivadent. Ivoclar Vivadent has recently replaced Provilink with an even better and more convenient temporary cement. Systemp.link is a dual-curing luting composite for the temporary cementation of provisional crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and veneers. It is available in two shades, Transparent and A3, making it particularly suitable for the cementation of temporary restorations in the anterior region. Systemp.link is eugenol-free, making it suitable for use with all-ceramic restorations or lab-fabricated composite restorations that are to be permanently cemented using an adhesive technique. Systemp.link also is compatible with all conventional temporary materials. The material features a balanced mix of compressive strength and Shore D hardness which yield optimum retention and “wear” time. Systemp.link is designed for easy handling by simply applying a mixing tip to the convenient automix double-push syringe and loading the cement directly into the temporary. The mixing tip ensures a quick and efficient mix, minimizing procedure time and reducing waste. Order from your dealer or call (800) 533-6825 for more information.

TempSpan from Pentron Clinical

TempSpan Provisional System from Pentron Clinical - If your practice is like mine, you mix and match a lot of different products to get the result you want. When making temporaries, I use one product for the matrix, another one for the temp material, another one to polish, and yet another to cement. Pentron now introduces something very logical - a system to make your provisionals which includes everything you will need. TempSpan is a comprehensive line of four provisional materials that provides clinicians with the essential tools to fabricate durable, highly esthetic provisional restorations quickly and effectively.

The system includes TempSpan Dual-Cure Temporary Crown & Bridge, which is a dual-cure composite available in seven standard shades that can be light cured intraorally and extraorally when used with TempSpan Clear Matrix material. This is a transparent vinyl polysiloxane material that enables light activation of dual-cure provisional materials. For cementing the provisional restoration, TempSpan CMT Temporary Cement provides ideal retention, easy clean up, and minimized postoperative sensitivity. Designed to eliminate the time-consuming step of polishing provisional restorations, TempSpan Glaze creates a lustrous gloss on provisional restorations and is the only glaze that can be light cured with halogen as well as LED curing lights. Each of the materials featured in this system is designed to save you time by providing you with ideal products in convenient delivery systems. Pulsar by Oral-B

Pulsar by Oral-B - Here is a new toothbrush that I have been using since it was introduced at the CDA meeting in San Francisco in September. This brush combines manual brushing bristles with special bristles that electronically vibrate to help your patient do a better job of removing food and plaque while brushing. The MicroPulse bristles feature a rubberized surface with textured blue cleaning pads. As the bristles penetrate between teeth, the pads grip the surface to sweep away food and plaque. This unique pivoting and pulsing action enables the MicroPulse bristles to penetrate deep between teeth - 25 percent deeper than the Oral-B CrossAction toothbrush. In addition, Pulsar has a pressure-sensitive split head that adjusts to the contours of your teeth to clean hard-to-reach places and moderate the amount of pressure applied to teeth and gums. The Pulsar is a brush that I can recommend from personal experience. For me, it has not replaced flossing, but I can honestly say that my mouth feels cleaner after using the Pulsar. Order from your Oral-B representative or call Oral-B Customer Service at (800) 833-3315 for more information.
