Building upon the single-visit, chairside-restoration concept, Sirona introduces three new products to join the CEREC 2 and create the CEREC family: CEREC 3, CEREC Scan and, for the CEREC 2 user, CEREC Link. Significant benefits are available to both dentists and patients, including reduced lab fees and durable long-term restorations created in a single visit.
The CEREC 3 is a modular, PC-based CAD/CAM system with the flexibility to adapt to the requirements of any practice.
CEREC Link brings CEREC 2 users the option to operate the Windows-based CEREC 3 software by transferring a CEREC 2 scan, via floppy disc, to a PC for further processing and/or storage in a patient database. The CEREC Link software also allows for the integration of a CEREC 3 imaging unit and milling unit, which can be added at any time.
CEREC Scan is an entry-level model for indirect working, serving as an ideal starting point for dentists who want to adopt the CEREC ceramic-restoration concept into their practices.
The entire CEREC family can be used for the creation of all single-unit restorations, from small fillings to posterior and anterior crowns and veneers.
