A more stable temporary prosthesis can be created at the time of implant placement with the Steri-Oss Immediate Provisional Implant System from Nobel Biocare. The system allows implant surgeons to place provisional 2.0 mm-wide by 14 mm-long titanium-alloy implants alongside the conventional endosseous implants being inserted. A stable, fixed prosthesis is attached to these provisional implants.

The Immediate Provisional Implant System offers several advantages over traditional provisionalization: The provisional implants absorb the forces exerted on a provisional restoration and protect soft and hard tissue and the underlying conventional implants. Patient comfort is enhanced and integration proceeds undisturbed.

The Immediate Provisional Implant System can be used for both fully and partially edentulous patients.

The system also includes an autoclavable surgical-instrumentation kit; a space-saving organizer; and a four-color, fully illustrated technique manual.
