BIORA AB recently published research describing how BIORA`s lead product, EMDOGAIN®, initiates the regrowth of tooth-supporting tissues lost to periodontal disease. The articles detail the development of EMDOGAIN®, from initial research to preclinical and clinical studies demonstrating safety and efficacy in the treatment of periodontal disease.

EMDOGAIN® is applied in a gel form directly onto the tooth-root surface during periodontal-flap surgery. Its key component, amelogenin, is a structural protein produced during normal tooth development.
