Premier Dental Products Co. introduces the SuperMat® retainerless matrix system which is reported to be extremely easy to use with either plastic or metal matrix bands. The SuperMat® retainerless matrix system consists of a placement instrument that is used in conjunction with the disposable spools to anchor and tighten the matrix band into the desired position. The tension of the band can be increased or decreased at any time during the procedure. The instrument can be repeatedly autoclaved and no special instrument is required for removal of the matrix bands.
