A health-care bill that would help people get insurance is stalled. The bill, sponsored by Sen. Nancy Kassebaum, R-Kan. and Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., would allow people to carry their insurance with them when they change jobs. But, the legislation is not moving, in part because of extra amendments attached to it. The American Dental Association is supporting one amendment that would allow taxpayers to set up tax-free Medical Savings Accounts to pay their medical bills, including dental bills
A health-care bill that would help people get insurance is stalled. The bill, sponsored by Sen. Nancy Kassebaum, R-Kan. and Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., would allow people to carry their insurance with them when they change jobs. But, the legislation is not moving, in part because of extra amendments attached to it. The American Dental Association is supporting one amendment that would allow taxpayers to set up tax-free Medical Savings Accounts to pay their medical bills, including dental bills. The ADA`s Washington office is talking with members of Congress about supporting MSAs.
