Ideas for your own Web site

I have written many articles and lectured to a number of groups on the subject of designing and marketing a Web site for your dental practice. One of the most important steps in the design and production of a Web page is to go out there into cyberspace and see what others in your field have up and running. So, with that in mind, I offer the list at right of a number of individual dentists' Web sites that I feel are among the best out there.

Before I offend dentists who have great Web sites, but who are not in this listing, let me state that these sites are merely a representation of many excellent sites for dentists. This listing is only meant to provide information and ideas to those who have not yet designed their own Web page.

Note: Some of these sites are designed using flash graphics or Active X programming (movable messages). Others use more simple programming.

You may ask: "Who designs these Web sites?" Again, there are too many people out there to list. I will mention a few of the sites that do a lot of work for dentists. Contact any of these companies or try to find someone locally who does a lot of Web-site design work for dental practitioners. Always ask to see samples before making any decisions.

Some of the design companies are: Curtis Group (curtisgroup. com), DDS4U (dds 4u.com), Dentaltown (dentaltown.com), Dentalxchange (dentalxchange. com), Dentistinfo (dentistinfo. com), Dentistryonline (dentistryon line.com), Einsteindental (einstein dental.com), Internet Dental Alliance (internetdentalalliance. com), One Dentist ( onedentist. com), Outlineswest (outlineswest. com), Practice Works (practice works.com), and Rdental (rdental. com).

Good luck ... and enjoy your tour through some of the dental offices out in cyberspace!
