CULVE CITY, California--Discus Dental, LLC, innovators in dental and oral hygiene products and a leader in professional teeth-whitening products, has
announced the appointment of Garrett Sato as executive vice president of global sales.

"Garrett is a tremendous sales leader with over 23 years of experience selling to dentists and dental distributors. We're excited to bring his background and leadership skills to Discus where we sell direct in 12 countries and through dealers in over 100 countries," said Steve Semmelmayer, CEO of Discus.

In his new position with Discus, Sato will oversee global sales. This will include
North America, direct sales in Europe and Australia, and the Discus international dealer channel.

"I'm very excited about the new opportunity at Discus. After spending time with the management team, it's clear that Discus has a number of very exciting initiatives in the pipeline that I'd really like to be a part of," said Sato.

A 23-year veteran of the dental industry, Sato was the former vice president of international sales at Kerr Corporation. More recently, he was president and general manager of Orascoptic, a division of Sybron Dental Specialties.
