Registration deadline approaches for executive management program for dentists
CHICAGO--Dentists interested in complementing their clinical training and experience with enhanced management skills can do so by registering for the 2009 session of the American Dental Association and Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management's "ADA/Kellogg Executive Management Program."
Now in its fifth year, the executive-level program consists of a curriculum for dentists who want to learn more about business management from one of the nation's top-ranked management schools. Registration deadline is May 31.
"The ADA/Kellogg Executive Management Program provides dentists with a curriculum that is both intellectually demanding and, at the same time, very stimulating," states ADA president John S. Findley, DDS. "It expands their business and management expertise, and enhances their ability to manage more effectively in a dynamic environment."
Based on core MBA curriculum
Based on the core curriculum of matriculating Kellogg MBA students, the program's content includes business strategy, organizational leadership, marketing, finance, accounting, economics, quantitative methods, and information systems.
Held at Northwestern University's Chicago campus, which is near the ADA headquarters, the 17-day executive management program consists of three sessions separated by seven-week intervals. The 2009 sessions are set for July 9-14, Sept. 10-15, and Nov. 6-10. Kellogg professors teach the courses.
In addition to learning from the Kellogg faculty, participants have the opportunity to build a network of relationships with colleagues from the dental community.
