January 22, 2009

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina--The National Children's Oral Health Foundation has awarded a $12,000 Zenith Dental Toothfairy Grant to Washington State Smile Partners.

The award will be for a project that targets students in underserved neighborhoods with school-based screening and preventive dentistry programs through its innovative Smart Smiles Program.

Zenith President George Wolfe said, "Zenith joins NCOHF's mission to ensure that children don't suffer needlessly from preventable dental disease. Zenith adheres to an uncompromising and innovative standard; we want that superior level of wellness for the children who NCOHF helps us to support."

Fern Ingber, NCOHF's president and CEO, expressed her gratitude.

"Zenith's Toothfairy Grant will help to break the cycle of preventable pediatric dental disease for thousands of vulnerable children in need of oral health services," she said. "In addition to this special grant, Zenith Dental has been a long time supporter of NCOHF, which has provided many very valuable product donations and ongoing generous financial contributions."

Washington State Smile Partners is a member of NCOHF's national affiliate network, dedicated to delivering comprehensive oral health treatment and preventive educational services to economically disadvantaged children and their families to achieve and sustain healthy people and healthy communities.
