Arizona dentists will acknowledge National Children's Dental Health Month by providing oral hygiene education programs in schools and offering free restorative treatment to underserved youth through Give Kids a Smile programs.

This year Arizona dentis efforts are supported through a Bashas brown bag promotion of the American Dental Association Fight Tooth Decay 24/7 artwork/coloring sheet for children.

Developed by the ADA more than 25 years ago, the National Children's initiative attempts to establish attitudes and habits at an early age that are critical to maintaining good oral health throughout life.

Children's teeth are meant to last a lifetime and a healthy smile is import to a child's self-esteem. With proper care, a balanced diet and regular dental visits, their teeth can remain healthy and strong.
