SmartHealth, Inc., has been selected as one of the "Best Companies to Work for in the Valley."

The "Best Places to Work in the Valley" project was established to identify the best places of employment in the Valley of the Sun (metro Phoenix, Ariz., area) for the benefit of the local economy, business and workforce and more specifically to:

*Create and publish a highly credible list valued by employees and management.

*Foster a competitive spirit among valley businesses for improving workplaces in Metro-Phoenix.

*Obtain information about Metro-Phoenix's businesses to help raise workplace standards throughout the valley by benchmarking workplace performance now and into the future.

*Help the Valley attract and retain a talented workforce.

*Promote Metro-Phoenix's best employment opportunities to attract new workers.

Competition is open to any company in the Valley of the Sun with 25 or more employees. For the third year in a row, SmartHealth received an award as one of the Best Places to Work in the Valley in the large company category, open to companies with 250 or more employees.

According to The Great Place to Work Institute, three key points define great workplaces: 1) A relationship built on trust between management and employees; 2) Employees take pride in their work; and, 3) FUN! Employees enjoy the people they work with.

Two-thirds of a company's score is based on how employees responded to a survey, and one-third is based on a management questionnaire. Surveys are scored based on fairness, respect, credibility, pride, and camaraderie.
