The return of the dreaded 'Phossy Jaw'

Precipitating events that contribute to bisphosphonate-induced osteonecrosis of the jaw are tooth extractions (about 50% of cases), mandibular exostoses, periodontal disease, and local trauma from ill-fitting dentures. Take an advance look at Lynne Slim's article in the July 2009 issue of RDH.
